FAQs
You have questions. We have answers.
“Is this program right for me?”
My Marketing Map programs are built for experienced marketers at SMBs who are ready to move beyond tactical execution into strategic leadership. This is an advanced, premium program and not an entry‑level group of courses.
What if I don't have much time?
My Marketing Map is designed for busy professionals. Each lesson is short, focused, and paired with activities you can apply directly to your current role. With weekly office hours, you’ll get support to keep you progressing without adding hours of study to your week. Most participants spend1–2 hours per week.
When are the weekly Office Hours?
We host live small‑group office hours every Tuesday at 3:00 PM CT via our virtual meeting space. These sessions are designed for personalized coaching, Q&A on lessons and activities, and networking with peers on the same journey.
What if I’m not sure I’m ready for a leadership role yet?
That’s exactly why we built this program. My Marketing Map gives you the clarity, confidence, and strategic tools to step into leadership at your own pace. Even if you’re not moving into the C‑suite tomorrow, you’ll be building the skills and influence to be ready when the opportunity comes.
How long does it take to complete each program?
Each program is self‑paced, with about 10 to 15 hours of core content and activities, plus an hour of weekly coaching. Most participants complete a program in about 25 hours across 10 weeks, while applying activities directly to their current marketing efforts for real-time improvement.
When do the programs launch?
The courses roll out in sequence:
-
The Market launches September 1st
-
The Message launches October 1st
-
The Map launches November 1st
Each program builds on the last, giving you a progressive path to strategic marketing leadership.
How advanced is The Market program?
This is an advanced program designed specifically for experienced marketers at SMBs. It’s not about basic tactics. It’s about giving you the foundations, frameworks, and leadership confidence to understand your market, align your stakeholder team, and identify opportunities to grow. Most marketers don't get much training in this area, so it's an essential place to start.
Do I need specific tools or software to complete the program?
No special tools are required, although many of the activities are AI enabled, so access to your favorite LLM will be helpful. Everything you need is provided, including downloadable frameworks and templates. You can adapt them to fit your company’s existing systems or processes.
How long does it take to complete The Market program?
Most participants spend about 2–3 hours per week on lessons, activities, and stakeholder involvement, plus an optional weekly live coaching session on Tuesdays at 3:00 PM CT. The entire program typically takes 10 - 12 weeks to complete, but you’ll start applying the frameworks immediately in your role.
What if I can’t get the commitment from my stakeholders?
While involving stakeholders maximizes alignment, The Market program is designed so you can still complete most activities on your own and create a powerful Market Overview Guide. You’ll still gain the frameworks, insights, and confidence to present a strategic, data‑driven plan, even if stakeholder input is limited. The skills you develop and the executive‑ready deliverables you produce will position you as a stronger leader, regardless of how engaged your stakeholders are during the process.
How much should I involve my stakeholders during the program?
To maximize the value of The Market program, we strongly recommend involving your key stakeholders along the way. Building alignment as you complete activities ensures you don’t reach the end of the program only to discover you’re out of alignment with leadership priorities. Plan for about 6 hours of stakeholder involvement across the program, whether that’s through working sessions, review meetings, or feedback touchpoints. This investment not only strengthens your Market Overview Guide but also builds buy‑in that makes your strategy executable the moment it’s complete.
How is this different from other marketing courses?
Most marketing courses focus on tactics or short‑term tips. The Market is a strategic launchpad. Every module pairs video instruction with guided, actionable activities that build a complete playbook you can use again and again. Plus, with weekly small‑group coaching, you’ll never be left figuring it out alone.
Is this about writing copy or building strategy?
This program is not a copywriting course. The Message is about message strategy. It's how to translate business objectives and market insights into a clear, compelling narrative that drives alignment, influence, and impact across your entire organization.
Will this help align brand messages across other departments?
Yes. One of the core outcomes of The Message is building alignment across teams. Your Message Architecture Guide is designed to be shared with sales, product, and executive teams so everyone speaks the same language and supports the same story.
What deliverable will I have at the end?
You’ll complete a Brand Message Architecture Guide, which includes your core narrative, messaging pillars, proof points, and internal and external use cases. It becomes the single source of truth for your team, sales enablement, campaign development, and leadership communications.
How much input should I get from stakeholders?
We recommend including stakeholders at different points in the course, especially during company insights, value propositions, and internal language alignment. Expect about 4 to 6 hours of input and collaboration to ensure your final messaging lands with buy-in.
Do I need to be a strong writer to succeed in this course?
No. The Message gives you frameworks and guided activities that help you structure your thinking and express it clearly, whether you’re a natural writer or not. This is about strategic clarity, not perfect prose.
I already have messaging in place. Will this still help?
Absolutely. Most existing messaging is fragmented, outdated, or disconnected from strategy. This program helps you audit, align, and elevate what you already have, turning loose messaging into a cohesive system that supports execution and growth.
What makes this different from other planning templates or online courses?
The Map isn’t just a set of templates or a theory-based course. It gives you a system for comprehensive strategic planning, with coaching, tools, and real-world application. You’ll build an actionable marketing roadmap that aligns with your business goals, prioritizes the right activities, and is ready to execute by the end of the course.
What deliverable will I walk away with?
You’ll leave with a complete Strategic Marketing Roadmap:
-
SMART goals tied to business outcomes
-
Key strategies and aligned activities
-
Timeline, priority, and ownership map
-
Progress metrics and reporting structure
The final deliverable is a usable Gantt chart, ready to share with leadership and easy to update at each checkpoint.
How much time does it take to complete the Map program?
The Map is designed to fit into a busy marketing leader’s schedule. You’ll spend about 2 to 3 hours per week over 6 to 8 weeks, along with your stakeholder team. This is not an activity in a vacuum. It includes time to watch the short video lessons, complete the activities, and attend optional weekly coaching calls for additional guidance.
Is this right for me if my team is small, or if it’s just me?
Absolutely. The Map is built for SMBs, where resources are limited and marketers often wear many hats. Whether you lead a small team or are the entire department, you’ll learn how to focus on what moves the needle and avoid getting lost in low-value work. It's also great for creating a business case for resources needed to succeed.
Will this help me build buy-in across my organization?
Yes. The Map includes specific checkpoints for involving your stakeholders in goal-setting, planning, and resourcing. These touchpoints help you align with leadership and reduce resistance before rollout. It’s not just about building a roadmap. It’s about getting people and teams behind it.
What if my organization doesn’t have strong planning habits yet?
Then this program is perfect for you. The Map gives you a structure to introduce strategic planning into your organization, even if you’re starting from scratch. You’ll lead the change with confidence, clarity, and a system that’s easy to follow. That builds your leadership, your influence, and your career.
